I didn't want to give any stars, but you have to hit one to be able to post! The most unpleasant veterinary visit I have ever experienced in all my 30+ years of owning all sorts of animals in Gippsland! Andrew treated myself, as a first time client, in a very arrogant, ignorant and rude fashion and had total lack of respect. He had no time for the owner's description of events or knowledge of their own animal, which helps form a diagnosis. He had made his decision before we even arrived only based on what he thinks he sees commonly with no regard for individual circumstances and without inspecting the dog... based on assumptions. He also displayed an uncaring manner towards my dog who was suffering pain. Initially, refusing my dog any treatment simply because I disagreed with his opinion... saying, "I can't help you" when I tried to explain that my dog did not suffer allergies, had never scratched to irritate her skin ever and I had witnessed her laying on her back in the sun which caused instant sunburn that evening! That amount of skin damage does not happen so quickly from allergies and was clearly a burn trauma. He then began administering drugs with no communication or consultation with myself at all. I left feeling more upset than before we arrived and when my dog showed no signs of pain relief at home, I did a follow up call to ask for reassurance that the drug he gave was going to help her pain (feeling that he ignored me and treated for inflammation and allergies more than the secondary pain and because he did not communicate with me or explain at all while in the surgery...) to which he simply responded that we were not going to get along because I didn't agree with his diagnosis and questioned his chosen treatment!! In other words, if you care enough about your animal to want explanations or you speak up when you know you are right about your animal's situation.... he will not tolerate you having your own ideas!! Never again and still thinking of reporting him to the vet register. :-(
